Ledger Live on your desktop to manage your Ledger hardware wallet and securely interact with cryptocurrencies.

Get Your Ledger

To get started with Ledger Live on your desktop, follow these steps:

1. Visit the Official Ledger Website: Open your web browser and go to the official Ledger website. You can type "ledger.com" in the address bar and press Enter.

2. Navigate to Ledger Live: Once on the Ledger website, look for the "Products" or "Software" section. Click on "Ledger Live" to access the download page.

3. Download Ledger Live: On the Ledger Live download page, you'll typically find options for different operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux). Choose the version compatible with your desktop operating system and click on the download button to initiate the download process.

4. Install Ledger Live: Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded file on your computer (usually in the "Downloads" folder) and double-click on it to start the installation process. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Ledger Live on your desktop.

5. Launch Ledger Live: After installation is complete, you can launch Ledger Live by locating the application in your desktop's applications folder or by searching for "Ledger Live" in your computer's search bar. Double-click on the Ledger Live icon to open the application.

6. Set Up Ledger Live: Upon launching Ledger Live for the first time, you'll be prompted to set up the application. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account or import an existing one. If you're setting up a new account, you may need to create a password for added security.

7. Connect Your Ledger Device: Once Ledger Live is set up, connect your Ledger hardware wallet to your desktop computer using the provided USB cable. Follow any on-screen prompts to unlock your device and allow Ledger Live to access it.

8. Add Accounts: After connecting your Ledger device, you can add cryptocurrency accounts to Ledger Live. Click on the "Add Account" button and select the cryptocurrency you wish to add. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

9. Manage Your Assets: With your accounts added, you can now use Ledger Live to manage your cryptocurrency assets. You can view your portfolio, send and receive transactions, and access additional features such as portfolio analytics and account settings.

10. Stay Updated: Periodically check for updates to Ledger Live to ensure you have the latest features and security enhancements. Ledger often releases updates to improve the user experience and address any potential vulnerabilities.
